One of the key drivers in raising money for the Light Fund is the events organised by trustees and supporters within the trade. These range from annual events including the Northern and Southern quiz nights, the treasure hunt, and Max Publishing events, right through to special one-off events such as the London to Utrecht cycle ride, 6 marathons in 6 days, the Bristol to Dublin cycle challenge, and even a bobsleigh event!
Everybody is welcome to come up with their own ideas, and to fundraise for the Light Fund. So whether you just want a copy of the logo for your own small event, or have an idea that you think could be big and you need a crew of people to help make it happen, all you have to do is get in touch with us.

The Southern Light Fund Quiz returns on Thursday 28 November 2024

Licensing International x The Light Fund: Coffee and Connect
Licensing International’s UK Young Professionals Network (YPN), together with the The Light Fund, is announcing a series of Coffee & Connect events. Set to be held over the next year, the series will focus on the theme “From Screen to Shelf.”
The first event will be on Thursday 1st August at Paramount’s office in Camden.
Young licensing industry professionals will gain insights into the process of creating an animated series from Love Love Films. The independent production company’s preschool show Pop Paper City is a hit on Milkshake and executives Georgina Hurcombe and George Caton-Coult will discuss the process of bringing an animated series to the screen, covering everything from the development of the initial idea to funding, script development, and sales.
Future Coffee & Connect events will explore strategy, creative, manufacturing, and retail.
Tickets cost £20.

10am - 12pm (speakers to start 10:30am and finish around 11:20am with networking until 12pm)
Fireside chat with q&a encouraged throughout
